⚓ The Sailor's Plurals: A Writing Task

Hello, Sailor! Let's practice making singular words plural. Look at the reading text, then complete the two tasks below.

1. Read: A Sailor's Day

My name is Alex. I am a sailor. I live on a ship. The ship is big and strong. I have two friends and three officers on the ship. We are a good team. We have many jobs every day. We check the thick ropes. We look at the dark seas. I see many birds flying. I also see big waves. Sometimes, I see a few fish jump. The captain talks about our two duties. He gives us keys for the small boats. In my cabin, I have one small book and two photos of my family. I miss my two children. The day is long, but I like my life. I love the oceans and the small patches on my uniform.

Task 2: Find the Plurals!

Read the text again. Find the plural nouns and write them here (e.g., apple, banana, grape...). Try to find ten! Use commas to separate your answers:

Task 3: Change the Number!

Write the plural form for each singular noun. Pay attention to the different rules!
