Sentence Structure Focus: Subject-Verb-Object (SVO)

Reading Text: Leo's Lucky Loaf

Leo is a young man, only twenty-two, but he is already famous in the city of Brighton. Last year, Leo worked for a big supermarket, but he hated his job. He sometimes dreamed of making bread and cakes, but he did not have enough time.

Then, his grandmother gave him an old book. This book had recipes for traditional French bread. Leo decided to start his own business. He bought his flour from a small, local farm. He worked very slowly at the beginning. In the kitchen, he practiced every evening.

His first shop is called 'The Lucky Loaf'. It opened last month on High Street. That shop is always busy. People wait outside in a long line every Saturday. Leo and his team bake about 300 loaves of bread before 7 a.m.

One customer, Mrs. Higgins, said, "I buy my bread here every day. Leo's loaves are the best." Today, Leo is very happy. He plans for the future. He wants to open another shop in the city centre next year. He worries less about money now. He learned that hard work brings success!
